The stye or also known as hordeolum is a palpebral pathology that appears due to an inflammation or infection of the sebaceous glands, being frequently produced by staphylococcus bacteria. Precisely, because staphylococcus bacteria are in nasal membranes, often it can be transmitted through the hands to the eyes. In addition, other causes that may induce the development of stye, as when properly clean hands in the handling of contact lenses are not realized.
